Welcome to www.humpydump.co.uk!

Humpy Dump Waste Clearance was created in 1989. The companies aims are to provide a full and comprehensive waste collection service to the commercial business owner and to the general public, whilst still providing an environmentally friendly and ecological solution to waste maintenance.

Recycling is extremely important to us. We hear through the media everyday about the dwindling quality of our natural habitat. We can help to improve this situation and delay the terrorisation of our conutryside and native species by the correct approach to recycling, wherever possible.

Humpy Dump Waste Clearance is a licenced waste carrier and as such we can dispose of practically any type of waste. This includes refridgeration units and certain hazardous wastes. Follow the links above for more information...

Hazardous Waste ...About five million tonnes of hazardous waste was produced in England and Wales in 2002. Amounts vary from year to year, but rose in 1997/98 because oils and other wastes were included for the first time.
All wastes are potentially harmful but are defined as hazardous if, for example, they are highly flammable, toxic or carcinogenic. This includes wastes from:

-industrial chemical processes
-oil refining
-metals processes
-solvents
-waste oils
-some clinical waste
-asbestos

England and Wales produce 400 million tonnes of waste every year. Careful management minimises the effect on the environment & human health. Waste management/disposal improvements since the 1980's are a result of better regulation (using laws to set tighter controls/higher standards).

Less Waste...!
Reducing waste is the key to a cleaner world.Waste minimisation is about being efficient. By preventing waste and emissions at source all organisations can maximise output and increase profits.
It is a process by which everyone gains!

In 2004, some aspects of the UK's environment have improved. Air and water quality is better now than it has been for decades. The twentieth century's peasouper smogs and toxic rivers are gone for good. But in some areas progress is slower. Simple, little things can make a difference. If enough of us do them, the environment in 2005 will be a much better place. Take a look at the environment agencies pages on how to improve your local environment...
